Jonathan Harvey (Gimme Gimme Gimme) has described Abi as 'a young, British Bette Midler'. In 2008, Abi co-wrote and starred in a short comedy film called Beached, about a girl from Kent who goes to Vegas in search of her real mother, who she believes is Bette Midler. The film had its premiere at the American Film Institute in LA. Abi also recorded the soundtrack below as an homage to Bette, but there are some favourites of Abi's unique repertoire on the album too.
